I downloaded the Radio Chatter quite some time ago, and just now got around to looking at it. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to come with a "read me". Can anyone please advise me as to how to install it? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I know that. What I'm asking is, at least based on other cab.sms files I've seen, there are a series of corresponding "xxx.wav" files listed. Seems to me that if I just move the "Chatter.wav" over to an engines Sound folder, that I will then need to edit the cab.sms to read the Chatter.wav.

just copy over the Chatter sound to the folder of the engine that you want to use i don't thank you do not need to edit the cab.sms files.

The radio chatter file installs directly to the TRAINSET folder, as do ALL of my sound releases... The files, when installed properly, will appear inside of a folder named "MC.SND" in your TRAINSET folder... That way all of my sounds are kept in one place... >>MC

Sorry, guys. Let me try and rephrase the question. I understand what you're saying about the MC_Radiochat file being in the MC.SND folder. I've got that part, and that's where it is. What I'm saying is, every other time I've seen an engine's Sound folder that has radio chatter, the corresponding cab.sms Wordpad had some type of radio wav files mentioned inside. In other words, aren't all the sounds (wav files) that you hear inside a cab, listed somewhere in the cab.sms wordpad in order for them to be read and played?

Ok, add this to your "cab" .sms file (after you open it with wordpad...
) Stream( Skip ( **** Radio Chatter **** ) Priority ( 5 ) Triggers( 1 Random_Trigger ( Delay_Min_Max ( 75 180 ) Volume_Min_Max ( 0.8 0.9 ) PlayOneShot ( 1 File ( "chatter.wav" -1 ) SelectionMethod ( RandomSelection )
Add it to the bottom of the .sms file. It worked for me. Also make sure that the file is in the folder of the .sms file as well. If your using the MC_EMD645 folder, the "chatter" file must be in the 645 folder.
