Hey all. I'm a relatively new member to the board here but have most of Matt's sounds and do enjoy them. I was wondering if there is a way to set up trailing units as if they were isolated and not providing power, i.e. a dead head power move. So that you can simulate transporting units from one terminal to another. Thanks in advance.

Well with Route Riter there is a way. I like it, it cuts power, stops exhaust, and stops all sounds. I'll explain how... start up Route_Riter - for me is is C:\Program Files\Route_Riter you will find Route_Riter.exe. Double click and that starts it.
Toward the top you will see four windows, look at the left window. It should be in the routes folder. Change it to Trainset (C:\ Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\TRAINS\TRAINSET
Find what locomotive you want Steam Diesel or Electric. The one I'm going to do is UP_EMD_SD70M_4911. Click on that and the next window right you will find all of the .s, .sd, .ace, and many other files. Select the primary .eng. Mine is UP_SD70M_4911.eng
Once you are there look down a little you'll find menu tabs. The one that is selected at first is Route Utils, Look one right and select the Activities/Stock tab.
Look down you will find Activity checking. Inside that box select Make unpowered Loco
(Summary of messages) Your unpowered locomotive's name is a little different, this ($) is tacked on at the beginning . Example... mine will look like $UP_SD70M_4911.
Your unpowered locomotive is located (in consist editor) in Passenger cars most likely at the top.
Additional info the unpowered locomotive doesn't effect the powered one. Also in the same folder the unpowered locomotive is now instead a .eng file it is a .wag. Example of what mine looks like. $UP_SD70M_4911.wag.

It is a little complicated but once you get used to it, it becomes easy. Hope this helps!!!!
