Idk if any of you have heard, but the TVA fly ash pond gave way a few days before Christmas during the night. 6 homes were destroyed. THANK GOD NO ONE WAS HURT. However, the plant called the inbound coal train about the problem. It was too late. The train plowed into the the mud that had covered the tracks. It was kinda funny though that train just kinda plowed into it like a car in molasses. Matt, it was an ES40DC. No big loss there. lol

That whole thing is a mess; I'm glad I don't pay TVA for electricity, at least directly. I have a sneaking feeling that their rates will be going up in the near future.
Was the ES40DC a write-off, or will it be repaired?
