I just downloaded part 1 and 2 of the new 710 sounds. Where do the sound files in part 2 go? Do they go into the main part 1 folder or do they go into the Extra folder found in part 1? Thanks

Thanks As per usual, both parts install to the TRAINSET folder... Once you do that, the complete fully-installed sound set should appear in the MC.SND directory, in a folder called "MC_EMD710"... >>MC

If anyone has any SMS errors regarding the "x_710_airb_auto" WAV files or something similar, don't worry about it, a new set of zip files is to come tomorrow fixing the issue...

I'm having problems with instalation of the sounds, I have downloaded both parts, and they are in a seperate folder (MC. SND), but I'm looking for the Internial, and external sound lines in the ENG file to change the sounds, and all I see it SOUND SD**.sms, what am I doing wrong (I'm a newbie when it comes to changing cab views, and sounds on locomotives.
Any help would be greatly appreicated??

The first sound reference in a locomotive's .eng file is usually (or always?) for the exterior .sms file. Try putting in a reference to whatever of MC's exterior .sms files in there. For the next reference, put the cab version (interior) in there. Enter the sim and take a listen. If you've got exterior sounds on the interior, just switch your references around (put the MC cab .sms in the first sound reference with the exterior engine .sms in the second sound reference).
Usually this is very easy, especially with payware sets like MLT or SLI. They use the word eng or cab right in the sms file reference, so you easily know what you need to plug in there.
Of final note, make sure to reference the included 710 readme file so you know what .sms files will be appropriate for the engine you're using. There are many different versions for different roads (this is the case so that different horns and other specific sounds can be used).

MSTS EMD sound sets, especially the turbocharged ones, sound the best at 44100hz, which is do able. I'm utterly shocked no one has tried it yet.

In the sms where it has the power cruise, run, or notch sounds, there is a frequency curve, adjusts the rate which it plays, change it all to 44100hz range.
