Well this past Sunday LSRC RR had a extra local #1 that got called out at 7 a.m. So I got wind of this and went down to see the action. Turns out they had a couple leased units for the day, a CN SD40-2W and a UP GP60. After getting some shots of the huge truss bridge, I walked up to the mainline, where I was greeted by this. The crew was friendly, and I was invited up to the cab! After that, I got a shot of them shoving back 35 loaded BNSF coal cars, waiting for the next part of them to be delivered on Monday night. After about 2 hours of local setouts, I got a shot of the power leaving LaSalle with about 20 cars to set off out of town for some local businesses. Enjoy.
